Summary Re-election will be held at 43 polling stations of NA-250.

 

KARACHI (Dunya News) - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday announced that re-polling on 43 polling stations of NA-250 Karachi would be held on May 19, Dunya News reported. 

 

NA-250 had prominent contestants like Dr Arif Alvi from the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), Khushbakht Shujat from the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and some others.

 

The Election Commission of Pakistan postponed the elections in NA-250 after polling at a number of stations in the DHA and Clifton areas saw a delayed start and some political parties claimed that polls were rigged in the same constituency. 

 

On the other hand‚ the Election Commission while accepting the application of Jahangir Tareen, ordered the Returning Officer to recount votes in NA-154 constituency of Lodhran.
