Talal Bugti's plea to delay polls accepted for hearing

Summary Balochistan High Court accepted Talal Akber Bugti's petition for hearing regarding delay in polls.


QUETTA (Dunya News):-Three days ago, Nawabzada Talal Akbar Bugti has moved a petition in Balochistan High Court, with the request that more than 50,000 people of Bugti tribe had migrated to other areas due to military operation in Dera Bugti and other adjacent areas. They are unable to come back in order to take part in general elections. 


The petitioner prayed to the court that elections in aforesaid areas should be delayed, so that migrated tribes may be able to come back and cast their votes.


The Chief Justice Balochsitan High Court while accepting the petition for hearing remarked that elections can’t be postponed three days before the due date.


The court also directed that displaced people of Bugti clan should be taken back in their constituency, so that they may be able to cast their votes.


All stakeholders have been issued notices for further proceeding.
