Summary Minister says production will be increased up to 1900 megawatt by Monday.

 

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Dr Shahid Amjad Advisor to caretaker Prime Minister for finance has said that the power outage will be curtailed by three hours in the country from Monday.


Addressing a news conference, Dr Shahid Amjad said that Rs 45 billion would be released for generation of thermal power, adding that electricity tariff would not be increased till the coming general elections.


He said that the caretaker government has released Rs 20 billion rupees while Rs 10 billion will be provided till the end of this month and more Rs 35 billion will be given in the month of May that will improve the production of electricity in the country.


On the occasion, caretaker federal minister for electricity and water, Mussadiq Malik said that the production of electricity would be increased up to 1900 megawatt by Monday.
