Summary Police have held five cops responsible in Musharraf escape case.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Islamabad High Court (IHC) Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqi heard a case regarding Pervez Musharrad’s escape after the cancellation of his bail.

Deputy attorney general informed the court that the Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP) has been suspended.

During the hearing, Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqi remarked that interior secretary was ordered to take action against the inspector general and that the DSP should not be held responsible for Musharraf’s escape. He continued saying the DSP is engaged in selling off his plots so how is it possible for him to discharge his duty here?

On Friday, The IHC held Inspector General (IG) Police Islamabad Bani Amin Khan responsible for the failure of police to arrest Musharaf after the cancellation of his bail on Thursday.

The court also directed Secretary Interior to take action against the IG in accordance with the law and submit report to the Registrar of the court.
