ECP hears fake degree cases against 12 ex-MPAs

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - A full bench of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) resumed hearing of fake degree cases against 12 former-parliamentarians in Islamabad on Friday.

 

Chief Election Commissioner Fakhruddin G. Ibrahim is chairing the session. Cases against these twelve parliamentarians started on the directives of the Supreme Court.

 

Meanwhile‚ the Election Commission has already declared the degrees of 9 former legislators as valid. They include MPAs of Punjab Assembly‚ Muhammad Shafiq Gujjar‚ Robina Irfan‚ Shujaat Ahmad‚ Gul Muhammad Lat and Samina Khawar Hayat.

 

MPAs of Sindh Assembly are Ghulam Sarwar Sial‚ Mukesh Kumar‚ Bashir Ahmad Khan and MNA Syed Amir Ali Shah.
