Summary NAB has received record of 19,000 candidates so far, out of which details of 16,526 sent to ECP.
ISLAMABAD, April 04 (Online): The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) received record of 19,000 candidates so far and after scrutiny the detail of 16,526 candidates has been sent to Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
The scrutiny of the remaining 2,874 candidates will be completed today.
The NAB has also objected to the candidature of Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif in the upcoming general elections over alleged scam of Hudaibiya Paper Mills, a senior NAB official said.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Punjab president and the former chief minister, along with his brother PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif, are accused in the Rs3,486 million loan default case.
Meanwhile, a spokesman of the PML-N has denied the allegations leveled against Sharif brothers and said that the details provided by the NAB are misleading.
The spokesman further said that the facts regarding these allegations will be soon unveiled in a press conference.
