ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – An eight-member larger bench of the Supreme Court (SC), headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, will take up today (Monday) former prime minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani’s review petition that he filed against his conviction for contempt of court after he failed to write a letter to Swiss authorities to reopen graft cases against President Asif Ali Zardari.
Former prime minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani will appear in the Supreme Court in person to give argument himself. Gilani was of the view that circumstances has proved that his stance of not writing a letter to Swiss authorities was correct.
