Summary Khoso’s appointment as caretaker PM has been challenged in the SC.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – A petition filed in the Supreme Court’s Lahore Registry, challenging the appointment of caretaker PM by the Election Commission.
The petitioner sated that the ECP chief was a former judge and caretaker prime minister was also appointed a former judge. He said that appointment of PM by a government institution was against the democratic norms.
The petitioner requested the apex court to withdraw Election Commission’s right to appoint caretaker PM and declare Justice (retd) Mir Hazar Khan Khoso’s appointment as null and void.
