ISLANABAD (Web Desk) - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has kicked off preparations for conducting scrutiny of candidates planning to contest the next general elections scheduled to be held on May 11.

 

In order to gear up its effort towards performing the important task of candidates' scrutiny‚ the commission has already sought lists of potential contenders' names who have defaulted on payments against their utility bills.

 

According to sources‚ the commission will get hold of all necessary details relating to the defaulting candidates from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

 

Both the institutions have also taken a decision to set up a hotline for exchange of information relating to the candidates.
