ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Officials of the Election Commission of Pakistan and Heads of different media organisations met in Islamabad Thursday to finalise code of conduct for media during the elections.
A committee comprising on heads of CPNE‚ APNS‚ PFUJ‚ Director General Radio Pakistan‚ MD PTV‚ PIO Ministry of Information and Broadcasting‚ PEMRA‚ Pakistan Broadcasters Association and Regional Director Public Relations Election Commission have been formed to finalise the code of conduct.
Secretary Election Commission Ishtiaq Ahmed who will be the Coordinator of the committee‚ said the purpose of formulating a code of conduct for media is to ensure free‚ fair and transparent elections.
