Summary Says ECP printing of nomination papers without President’s approval can cause serious problems.
ISLAMABAD: Talking to media persons here Tuesday, PPP Senator Aitzaz Ahsan said the printing of nomination papers in an unconstitutional way could hurt the election process.
He said ECP was following the SC directions and by-passing the constitutional authority of the President.
It must be remembered that the Supreme Court of Pakistan has asked the Election Commission to go ahead with the printing of amended nomination papers.
According to ECP sources the printing of the papers has been completed.
Aitzaz also said that allegations against Qayum Soomro were baseless and fabricated.
Election Commission Tuesday reserves the verdict in Qayim Soomro Case.
To a question Aitzaz said dual nationality holders cannot become members of the parliament.
