Summary Sindh acting IG Ghulam Shabbir Sheikh says police should be trained on modern patterns.

 

KARACHI (Dunya News) - After offering funeral prayer of assassinated policeman hit last day in Baldia Town, acting IG Ghulam Shabbir shared his ideas with the media and said that former president Ziaul Haq promoted terrorism in the name of Jihad. Rocket launcher and narcotics are also products of the dictatorial regime.


He said that the political government has received terrorism as legacy.

 

Throwing light on performance of security forces, he said that police have not been trained on latest and scientific prints and patterns.

 

“It is dire need of hour to equip the police with latest and sophisticated weapons in order to cope with terrorism which has pushed the country on the abyss of decay and destruction” said acting IG.

 

He said that religious and sectarian organizations are using rocket launchers in order to hit their targets. Weapons are being imported from other cities of the country as it is clear that no factory is manufacturing rocket launchers and Kalashnikov in Karachi.
