Summary President Zardari and Iran President will perform groundbreaking ceremony of gas pipeline today.
President Asif Ali Zardari will leave for Iran today where he along with Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will perform groundbreaking ceremony of gas pipeline project today.
To create consensus with regard to this important project, the Chief Ministers and Governors of the four provinces of Pakistan have also been invited to the ceremony.
It merits mentioning here that Pakistan will import 21.5 million cubic metres of gas from Iran through the project costing $ 7.5 billion. Completion of the project will give way to eradication of energy-crisis in Pakistan.
The gas pipeline that is 785 Km long will be completed in the next 15 months.
