ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Thursday said that Local Government Ordinance 1979 had been annulled and questioned how it could be restored.
A three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry resumed hearing of a petition against Sindh Local Government Act.
The bench issued notice to Attorney General Iran Qadir to argue over the article 140-A and 264.
Later, the case hearing was adjourned for indefinite period of time.
