Summary Prime Minister orders withdrawal of petrol price hike notification.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Rajaz Pervez Ashraf on Saturday ordered the concerned authorities to withdraw the recent increase in petroleum prices.
The Prime Minister stated that democratic government cannot overburden the people.
The price of petrol was increased by Rs 3.53 per litre, high speed diesel Rs 4.35, kerosene oil Rs 3.75 and light diesel by Rs 3.93.
In reaction on Friday, the main opposition party, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) staged a walk out from National Assembly to protest against the petroleum price hike.
