Summary MQM and PPP have decided to contest in the forthcoming elections independently.
LONDON (Dunya News) - Interior Minister Rehman Malik held talks with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on Saturday.
According to the statement, the core committees of ruling PPP and MQM will hold discussions over the controversial issues.
Rehman Malik said that both the parties will contest in the forthcoming elections independently, however, seat adjustment can be discussed in some cases.
The minister further hailed the efforts of MQM and said that without their support, it was not possible for the government to complete its five-year term.
Altaf Hussain said that old companionship will continue in the best interest of Pakistan, for peace and stability in Sindh and to strengthen brotherhood and unity in the country.
