LAHORE (Dunya News):- The writ petition has been filed by Barrister Iqbal Ja’afri who took the stance that 20 politicians including President Asif Ali Zardari, Nawaz Sharif, Imran Khan and Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain have illegally transferred their assets out of the country, causing irredeemable loss to the national exchequer.
It was also stated in the petition that the aforesaid politicians do not meet the criteria of Article 62 and 63 of the constitution of the country; so they should be stopped from contesting forth coming general elections.
The court while accepting the petition for hearing has ordered the politicians mentioned in the petition to submit their affidavits till April 9.
