KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League-N chief Nawaz Sharif has arrived in Karachi on a visit to Sindh on the invitation of PML-F leader Pir Pagaro.

 

Talking to media at residence of late Prof. Ghafoor Ahmad, Nawaz Sharif said he would free the city from the hijackers and also vowed to restore peace in the metropolitan after coming into power. He alleged that some parties were planning to rig the elections. He also welcomed Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani’s statement regarding general elections.

 

Nawaz said he would discuss the future electoral alliance and matters pertaining to political strategy in Sindh with the leaders of other political parties.

 

To a question about PPP and MQM rifts, Sharif said “it’s just a drama to hoodwink the people of Sindh but they are well aware of it. We see it as first step towards pre-poll rigging.”
