Summary Leaders of Hazara community say they have no intention to leave the country despite dangers.
ISLAMABAD (Online): Leaders of Hazara community Sardar Saadat Ali Hazara and Qayyum Changezi say Australia has offered to give asylum to 2500 Hazara families but they have no intention to leave the country.
In an interview, Sardar Saadat said that the offer is for the ill-fated families affected by terror incidents particularly in Quetta.
He said though his people cannot think of leaving Pakistan but it has become difficult for them to pursue their academic activities or professional job.
He said the government has made some appreciable moves during the last one month as a number of terrorists have reportedly been arrested. He‚ however‚ said there is need to bring them to justice.
Chairman of Hazara Qaumi Jirga Qayyum Changezi said Hazaras have been living here for over a century and their future generations would also survive here.
He said Hazaras have contributed immensely in the development of Pakistan and in the defence of the country and the Government should take effective steps to ensure safety of their lives and properties.
