Summary A three-judge bench of the apex court heard the suo motu case against Hazara killings.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Supreme Court (SC) has remarked that Interior Minister Rehman Malik should share intelligence instead of expressing fear of massive terror threat in the city, adding that the intelligence was supposed to be shared with law-enforcement agencies and not with the court.

A three-judge bench of the apex court, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, was hearing the suo motu case pertaining to the Hazara killings in Quetta.

Several officials including IG, CPO and home secretary didn’t appear before the bench. The prosecutor general assured that they will reach the court by 11AM.

During the proceedings, the chief justice inquired as to what was the assurance that such incidents would not occur in the future.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) had claimed before the bench that it had forewarned of the carnage in which 91 innocent Shia Hazaras lost their lives in Quetta.

“A huge consignment of explosives was being transported,” the ISI had stated in a report submitted to the bench.
