ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The consultative meeting of the senior leadership of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) was held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr which was jointly chaired by President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf.
Spokesperson to the President Senator Farhatullah Babar informed the media that Federal Law Minister Farooq H Naek briefed the meeting about upcoming elections and caretaker setup.
The meeting also agreed on appointment of opposition leader in Sindh Assembly under the constitution. The top PPP leadership also discussed current political situation in the country as well as negotiation between PPP and PML-Q on electoral alliance.
President Zardari also hosted dinner at the Aiwan-e-Sadr which was attended by Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, some federal ministers and the senior leadership. Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Faryal Talpur were also present on the occasion.
