Quetta blast suo motu: SC to resume hearing today

Summary The Supreme Court will resume hearing of Quetta blast suo motu case today.

 

A three-member bench, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhey, will hear the case. The court has summoned IG Balochistan, Commandant FC, CPO Quetta and Interior Secretary to appear in the court.

 

The apex court also asked the Interior Secretary and Secretary Defence to also submit a report of Janusry 10 bomb blast at the Alamdar Road.

 

During previous hearing, Secretary Defence presented ISI report on Kirani Road blast in the Supreme Court. It was said in the report that the explosive for the blast was bought from Akbari Mandi, Lahore and sent to Quetta which was planted in a water tank.

 

The court expressed dissatisfaction over the report and ordered to point out official who did not check the water container.

 

Additional Interior Secretary informed the court that the masterminds of the blast were arrested while four out of seven suspects were killed.
