QUETTA (Dunya News) - While the burial of Quetta blast’ victims begins, a large number of women along with other protesters pelt stones at the authorities and press for fulfillment of demands before burial.
Soon after the announcement to end sit-in by Majlis Wahdat-ul- Muslimeen (MWM) central leadership on late Tuesday, the protesters bifurcated into two groups over the issue of burial.
One of the groups complied with the orders of MWM while the other vowed to continue protest till the fulfillment of their demands.
In a bid to stop the burial process, the women reached the graveyard and hurled stones. The women chanted slogans against the government and sat down in graves while the police resorted to aerial firing to disperse the protesters.
However, despite the tense and gloom situation, the process of burial is underway.
At least 89 people were killed and over 100 injured in a horrific bombing in Quetta’s Hazara Town on Saturday.
