Summary About six people including the Managing Director of Machine Tool Factory were killed on Tuesday.
KARACHI (Dunya News):-Target killing in Karachi could not be stopped despite tall claims of the government and law enforcing agencies as six people were gunned down in different incidents of violence.
The first incident occurred in Bhains Colony where miscreants targeted the car of Machine Tool Factory’s MD Arshad Pervez who along with his General Manager Kashif was on way to working place.
As a result, the former died on the spot while the latter sustained injuries and was rushed to hospital by rescue team.
In Landhi Dowd, two persons were killed in an incident of firing. The people of area were of the view that old enmity of rival families was main motif behind the killings.
In the same area, a cloth merchant was gunned down by the firing of unidentified armed men who fled from the site of occurrence after committing crime.
Two innocent people were also killed by miscreants at Star gate and Orangi Town.
On the other hand, terror and fear gripped the area of Khardar where terrorists fired shells in different directions.
During this, police launched an operation in the said area and arrested six men allegedly involved in criminal activities.
As a reaction, a large number of citizens including women gathered outside police station and raised voice for the release of their loved ones.
The angry people also torched old tyres on the road, blocking the flow of general traffic for some time.
