Summary PM Raja Pervez Ashraf has invited the British businessmen community to invest in Pakistan.

Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has invited the British businessmen community to invest in Pakistan's diverse fields which offer lucrative opportunities for foreign investors.

He said this while talking to a delegation of British businessmen of Pakistani origin that called on him in London.

The Prime Minister said banking sector is growing fast in Pakistan and the exports have also increased.

He said inflation rate has significantly reduced due to effective policies of the government. Raja Pervez Ashraf said Pakistan is facing numerous challenges but we are doing our best to overcome these.

Meanwhile, interacting with the PPP (UK) President Mr Hasan Bukhari and other office bearers and representatives of the party who called on him here Monday, Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf said terrorists could not terrorise “us” and people of Pakistan had always faced the meance of terrorism with great courage and valour.

”Terrorists cannot terrorise us”, he said adding all the institutions and Pakistanis had braved the situation with patience and perseverance.

He said Allah Almighty’s blessing had always there once the intention was good. Notwithstanding diverse difficulties and problems facing the country, he said the terrorists could neither succeed to weaken Government’s commitment, resolve nor normal activities of life including social engagements, wedding festivals and sports events.

The media, which had been working in suffocated and undemocratic milieu, got freedom in the democratic era, but it would get mature gradually, he observed. The government will face the criticism hurled by the media with patience and tolerance since the prime grail of the sitting dispensation was to strengthen the democratic order in the country.

He was of the view that another election, held by the civilian government, would lend stability and sound footing to democracy. The people would hence be able to reap the benefits and advantages of the democratic system, he said.

The Prime Minister asked the participants of the meeting not to get frustrated and discouraged by such criticism, since the anti- PPP forces had alleged Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Shaheed as an enemy of Islam, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto as security risk and now allegations of corruption were being levelled against the government by such elements.

Raja Pervez Ashraf further said that the government enhanced support price for wheat crop which triggered revolution in the rural economy.
