Summary PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif says the govt should pay serious attention on Taliban's offer for talks.

LAHORE: According to Dunya News, Nawaz Sharif said that PML-N has been backing the process of dialogue with Taliban for restoration of peace in the region particularly in the neighbouring country Afghanistan.

He said that use of weapons and war was not the solution of the problem and Pakistan has been facing big loss for this tension.

Nawaz said the nation wants peace because progress and prosperity in the country is impossible without it.

He said the government should seriously reflect over the offer of Taliban for negotiation.

Nawaz Sharif emphasised that PML-N has always supported to resolve all the issues through dialogue and the government should start process of result-oriented talks without any delay.

He said that the government has lost its credibility. Under such circumstances, no political power would be ready to become a guarantor, said Nawaz.

It is worth mentioning here that the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) had set a pre-condition for talks with the government.

The condition was that PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif, JUI-F leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Jamaat-e-Islami chief Syed Munawar Hasan should act as guarantors.
