Summary LHC Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial resumed hearing of the case on Thursday.

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) while hearing petitions against electricity loadshedding sought report from the government continuity of uninterrupted electricity supply to the small business communities, Dunya News reported.

As court resumed the proceedings, Pepco’s counsel admitted that Lesco records the lowest percentage of line losses, however, percentage of line losses among rest of the power distribution companies stands between 11% to 30%.

The petitioner informed court that ‘power system’ has been badly affected due to Wapda recruitment over political grounds.

Wapda officers are using electricity free of cost, he added.

At this, the court summoned a report from the concerned authorities over uninterrupted power supply to the small business communities and ordered to explain the power supply process for the common consumers.

Subsequently, the case hearing was adjourned till March 20.
