Summary Qadri says his party will file a plea for dissolution of the Election Commission of Pakistan.
ISLAMABAD: Tehrik-e-Minhajul Quran Chief Tahirul Qadri Wednesday said his party will file a petition in Supreme Court for dissolution and reformation of the election commission.
Talking to media Tahirul Qadri said that the parliamentary committee was bound to hear three persons from each province, after which four members would have been nominated on the commission but the members were appointed on some other grounds.
Qadri said that the government says that the members of the election commission could not be removed, but he thinks that the Article 209 would not extend protection to the appointments made in violation of the constitution.
Tahirul Qadri said he will accept the Supreme Court verdict over the issue.
