Summary Appeal filed in LHC against government’s commission to probe Kamran’s death.
ISLAMABAD: The Chairman Nnational Accountability Bureau Fasih Bokhari has requested the support of all media outlets by refraining from speculative reporting regaring deah of Kamran Faisal.
In a statement issues here on Tuesday, he said that unfortunate demise of Kamran Faisal, which is under investigation and will take its time to reach a logical conclusion; officers of NAB, who work under high tension environment in their dailydealings, are under far greater pressure and all ranks of NAB from the Chairman downward are grieved by this incident.
Meanwhile, Lahore High Court has been moved against the judicial commission formed to probe the death of NAB’s Assistant Director Kamran Faisal, investigating officer in rental power case.
A lawyer Sarfaraz Hussain submitted an application in LHC in which applicant took plea that the judicial commission might be stopped from investigation the matter as only apex judiciary can form a judicial commission, but in the particular case government has constituted the commission under the chairmanship of Justice (R) Javed Iqbal to probe the death of NAB’s officer investigating the important issue of corruption in rental power projects.
The applicant said that the impression is being given that it is a judicial commission which is illegal so the court may prevent it and order the government to take serious measures for making of judicial commission according to the law.
