Summary Urges all political religious parties to devise strategy against extremism.

 

KARACHI: Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Dr Farooq Sattar Saturday urged to draft a national counter terrorism policy against terrorism to steer the country out of the crisis.


Speaking to media‚ Dr Farooq Sattar said that it is the responsibility of all the political and religious parties to evolve a strategy to combat terrorism and extremism keeping in the interest of the country in view.


He called upon all the segments of the society to get united by shunning their differences to face the challenge of extremism. National consensus is the need of the hour to counter the increasing elements of extremism and terrorism before ensuring general elections in the country, he added.


The minister demanded the prime minister to take effective steps for apprehending the culprits‚ as not only the general public but also the elected representatives of the political parties are also being targeted by the culprits.


Sattar demanded a national counter terrorism policy against terrorism to steer the country out of the crisis.
