Opposition foiled TMQ bid against polls: Fazl

Summary JUI-F chief says the opposition parties have foiled Tahirul Qadri’s bid to postpone elections.

 

ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam head Maulana Fazalur Rehman expressed these views while talking to media after attending “All Parties Conference on Kashmir” on Saturday.

 

Criticising Dr Tahirul Qadri, Maulana said, “Tahirul Qadri does not deserve for the title of Sheikh-ul-Islam as he is notorious for his strange kinds of interpretation particularly regarding religious teachings.

 

He said that it is wastage of time to discuss or comment Tahirul Qadri’s long march. The reality is that actually Qadri was destroying the constitution of Pakistan.

 

JUI-F chief added that prevailing situation in the country could not afford such demands.

 

Talking about Kashmir issue, Maulana Fazalur Rehman termed the Kashmir dispute the main hurdle in Pakistan-India relations.

 

He said that the Kashmir issue could only be resolved through dialogue. JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazalur Rehman says India has violated LoC and Pakistan has the right to defend.

 

He said the world has different standards on Kashmir and the issue has been put on back burner because of tension on the western border.
