Summary Former PM Yusuf Raza Gilani says PPP is endeavoring to hold fair and transparent elections.
BAHAWALPUR: Addressing a news conference in Bahawalpur on Sunday he said elections would be held on time and there is no reason to postpone them.
Gilani said if the elections were postponed it would be big misfortune for us. He said due to the law and order situation we do not like to run away from the polls.
The former PM said in each era of elections PPP was victimized of vote rigging‚ otherwise no one could defeat it in the elections. He said that there are some people who do not like creation of new provinces.
Referring to the martyrdom of ANP leader Bashir Ahmed Bilour‚ Gilani termed it the assassination of the whole humanity.
Gilani said PPP believes in democracy and it will continue policy of reconciliation.
