Summary ISLAMABAD: The Senate has unanimously approved a resolution condemning the attacks on polio workers.
The resolution was tabled by PPP Senator Jehangir Badar.
The resolution not only condemned the attacks but also called for those responsible to be arrested. The resolution said that the anti-polio drive should continue.
A similar resolution was approved by the National Assembly on Wednesday.
Nine workers of the anti-polio campaign have been killed in attack in Karachi, Peshawar and Charsadda. The attacks led to UNICEF and the World Health Organization halting their field activities in the country.
