Summary Jamaat-e-Islami has welcomed the SC verdict regarding verification of voters in Karachi.
KARACHI: Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Muhammad Hussain Mehnti has welcomed verdict of Supreme Court about door-to-door verification of voters’ lists in Karachi.
In a statement issued from Idara Noor-e-Haq here Wednesday, JI leader said the verdict would fulfill the dream to bring peace in the metropolis besides removal of errors from the voters’ lists.
Mehnti added that the decision is a ray of hope for transparent elections in the prevailing situation in city. Now it is the duty of election commission to prevent electoral process from hijacking, he added.
