KARACHI: Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that religious scholars need not go to London for peace in Karachi.


After having a meeting a meeting with Pir Pagara in Karachi, Jamiat Ulmae Islam-F chief said it was need of the hour to clear Karachi of all sophisticated weapons.

 

He made it clear that clerics needed not go to London for a conference; rather MQM chief Altaf Hussain should come back to the country so that his ‘farsighted vision’ may be utilized for the restoration of peace in the metropolis on permanent basis.

 

He said that terror and horror had become the hallmarks of the day, adding if proper measures were not taken for consolidation of democratic culture the city may go into the hands of terrorists.

 

“Terrorists have nothing to do with rule of law; their motto is just the collection of money by hook or crook,” he said.
