Karachi violence claims three more lives

Summary At least three people were killed in separate incidents of firing and violence in Karachi on Sunday.

 

KARACHI: Target killing and other incidents of violence continued in the city killing at least three persons and injuring six others including a woman.


A man was injured in firing in Shoe Market near Garden area. The man was shifted to hospital where he succumbed to injuries. The victim could not be identified.


A dead body was found from a water tank in Razaqabad, Pir Jo Goth area while a man namely Akhtar Hussain was shot dead in Landhi No. 6.


Meanwhile, six persons were injured in firing by unknown armed people in different areas including Lyari, Chakiwara, Boltan Market, Kemari, Garden and Landhi.


On the other hand, police arrested four accused during a raid in Patel Para and recovered weapons from their possession.


According to police the accused were arrested in suspicion of murdering a man namely Nazar Abbas. Police further disclosed that the accused were activists of a banned outfit.


Moreover, police arrested six alleged robbers during a raid in Site area and recovered stolen articles and weapons from their possession.
