Pakistan’s former ambassador to the US, Hussain Haqqani has announced his immediate disassociation from the Memo-commission. During his interview to a private TV channel he said that he had announced his decision in view that the Constitution did not cater for any such commissionHe blamed former DG-ISI Shuja Pasha for being discriminatory regarding floating a wrong impression of a major investigation mission, which had proved that statements of Mansoor Ejaz were true. “Pasha himself confessed that he had conducted no (advance) investigations, and verdicts / decison are certainly not based on mere assumptions”, he protested. He said that he was also disassociating himself from the commission’s investigations, because the forensic investigations ordered by commission on the scheduled date of 19th March were delayed.“Secretary Memo Commission and my lawyers were present at the time, while the secretary commission departed for Pakistan, rather stealthily” he complained; “ hence what’s the need for any forensic tests now?” he implored.He also highlighted the exposure of a fraudster like Mansoor Ejaz, who had failed to present any proofs of his claims/accusations.
