Govt of Pakistan conveys condolences to the government and people of Afghanistan on the tragic death of the prominent member Afghan Peace Council.Arsala Rehmani was a prominent member of the Afghan High Peace Council in Kabul.Foreign Office Spokesman in Islamabad on Sunday said that the government of Pakistan conveys its deepest condolences to the government and people of Afghanistan over this tragic incident.He said Pakistanis share the grief with the family of Mr Rehmani and pray for the deceased soul.The foreign office spokesman stated that both the countries face the common threat of terrorism and Pakistan is committed to work closely with Afghanistan to eliminate the scourge. Peace and stability in Afghanistan is a core national interest of Pakistan, he said.The FO added that Pakistan would continue to support all efforts that contribute to an Afghan-led and Afghan-owned peace and reconciliation process in Afghanistan.
