LHC reprimands Punjab govt in DSPs promotion case

Chief Justice Lahore High Court Sheikh Azmat Saeed resumed the hearing of DSPs promotion case on Tuesday.The counsel of the petitioner DSP Saleem Sadiq told the court that a year had passed but he was not promoted despite the court order.The Chief Justice Lahore High Court reprimanded the lawyer of the Punjab government.He remarked that the Punjab government does not implement the court order until action of contempt of court is taken against it.The CJ rejected the plea for seeking more time by the Punjab government lawyer and said that other lawyers did not came here on a picnic.He said the court knows how to make Punjab government to act seriously.The LHC summoned the Punjn IGP and said that he would be indicted on Wednesday.The CJ said that the room in Kotlakhpat Jail where Raymond Davis was kept is free these days and one who does not follow the court orders will be sent there.
