Lahore: LHC seeks report on Sarabjeet release

The next hearing would be made on June 9.Justice Manzoor Ahmad conducted hearing of the case. The petitioner Owais Shaikh Advocate told that the court that Sarabjeet Singh had been jailed life imprisonment under the allegation of spy. The petitioner further said that his client has fulfilled the tenure of his penalty but nothing is being done for his release.He prayed to the court that special measures should be taken for release of Sarabjeet Singh.On the other hand, Home Secretary Punjab also submitted his reply in the court and said that a letter has been written to Superintendant, with the direction that arrangements should be completed for release of Sarabjeet.The court demanded progress report in this regarded and adjourned hearing till June 9.
