Summary Rigging continued during polling for two constituencies in Dera Ghazi Khan.
PML-N polling agent forced women to vote in favour of her party leader at Sawarwali polling station.Sawarwali is the 57th polling station of women for PP-243 constituency in DG Khan.The polling agent of PML-N candidate Hassam-ud-din had been seen snatching the ballot paper from the voters, forcing them to mark her representative.The agent also verifies if the voter has marked the right box or not before putting it in the box which is against the polling rules.Meanwhile, voting started at two provincial constituencies including PP 243 and PP 245 early this morning.The two seats of the Punjab Assembly fell vacant due to the resignation of PML-Q legislator Muhammad Mohsin Khan Leghari and senior adviser to the Punjab chief minister, Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa. The two had been elected as Senators.The election campaign continues to as each party is trying hard to get its candidate elected in the by-election but large majority of the voters is disappointed from the candidates of both big parties.Zulfiqar Ali Khosa’s son Hasam-uddin Khosa is contesting in PP 243 on the ticket of PML-N while 6 other candidates are contesting as independent.Meanwhile, eight candidates including Muhammad Khan Leghari of PML-Q and Mirza Talpur of PML-N are contesting in PP 245.It is worth mentioning here that no candidate of Pakistan People’s Party is contesting from both of the constituencies, however, PPP ticket holder in 2008 elections Dr Saeed Buzdar has announced to contest the election as an independent candidate.
