Summary FESCO faced Rs 2 billion deficit due to non-payment of electricity bills by industrialists.
According to estimated figure, Faisalabad Electric Supply Company usually collects around Rs 6 billion monthly but in the previous month it received Rs 3.80 billion due to non-payment of electricity bills by the industrialists.In previous days, Faisalabad industrialists demonstrated against high electricity bills due to inclusion of fuel adjustment surcharge and also vowed not to pay next month’s electricity bills in protest against the hike.
