'Dialogue for overseas Pakistanis' release underway'

Summary Foreign Minister said government is talking with 35 countries for release of overseas Pakistanis.

In this regard, special agreement would be signed with at least 35 countries where Pakistani citizens are rendering services in different walks of life.The National Assembly was informed that about 215 Pakistanis have been detained in different countries including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Libya and Iraq.Hina Rabbani Khar moved an explanation in writing in the National Assembly according to which about 206 prisoners are behind bars in Saudi Arabia, one in Egypt, three in Libya and five in Iraq under allegations of smugglings of narcotics and illegal entry in related countries.She also said that Pakistani embassies staff regularly pay visit to prisons.
