Summary PPP leadership has prepared a road map to form South Punjab as separate province.
It will be discussed with other parties in the next session of the National Assembly. Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani would take all the parties into confidence in this regard.According to roadmap, if dialogues tend to prove successful, resolution would be unanimously passed from the Punjab Assembly. In case of failure, the PPP government in consultation with coalition partners would pass a resolution from the National Assembly by 2/3 majority and would refer it to the Punjab Assembly. The government has also other options which may be used in case of failure.
