The pumping stations’ closure due to prolonged load shedding in Dhabiji area of Karachi has created water shortage in several areas including Landhi, Malir, Shah Faisal Colony, Manzoor Colony, Defence, Qayumabad, North Karachi, Sarjani Town, Lyari and Kemari.The residents of Lines area protested against water board authorities and blocked the road by burning tyres. Police arrived at the spot and dispersed the protesters.On the other hand, Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) has also planned to cut power supply to industrial areas due to reduction in gas supply by the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC).
