Summary President Zardari has left for Ajmer to pay homage at shrine of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti.

According to the details, President Zardari has left with a 40-member delegation for a day-long trip to India today to visit Ajmer and to attend a luncheon being hosted by Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.It will be the first ever visit of President Zardari to India as President of Pakistan, which will provide a chance to promote bilateral relations between the two countries. No formal agenda has been fixed for the meeting. According to a Foreign Office spokesman, the President will travel to the city of Ajmer to pay homage at the Dargah of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti.The President is expected to reach the shrine of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti at 5:00pm. He will stay at the shrine for about half an hour. Security arrangements have been finalised in Ajmer for Zardari’s visit. A team from Pakistan also reviewed security arrangement before President’s visit.Caretakers of the Sufi shrine of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti have planned special prayers and gifts, including red turban, sword and finger rings studded with precious stones, for Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari and his family when they come to offer prayers at the revered shrine.
