Summary First batch of Special Response Force, meant to guard nukes, passed out of academy on Monday.

Addressing the passing-out parade, Strategic Planning Division Director General (DG) Lt-Gen (r) Khalid Ahmed Kidwai said the addition of the SRF would augment the national force further to safeguard national strategic assets. He also expressed strong faith in the training and professionalism of the new force.The passing-out parade at the SPD Training Academy near Rawalpindi was a magnificent show of nicely bedecked troops who appeared full of vigour to protect the motherland.The DG called the first batch’s inclusion in the national security apparatus as a milestone.“You were chosen, well trained and have been tasked to perform a very important task, and I am sure if ever challenged, your response will make an example of the potential aggressor,” enthused the DG while addressing the troops.It is the first ever batch of a specialised force passing out of the SPD Academy. The training was jointly monitored by qualified trainers from the Special Services Group (SSG) and independent experts in security and crisis management.
