Load shedding continues to irk citizens

According to the sources of Water and Power Ministry, the current demand for electricity has reached to 15, 853 megawatts while current power generation is 10, 238 megawatts including 2, 18 megawatts from hydal resources and 2, 122 megawatts from public sector thermal power plants.The sources further said that private power stations are generating 5, 809 megawatts while rental power plants are producing 89 megawatts of electricity.People in different cities of the country are facing 16 to 18 hours load shedding.Moreover, power supply has been suspended for 12 hours in different areas of Rawalpindi incliding Afshan Colony, Dhok Chaudhrian, Dhok Banaras, Shahle Wali and Lane No to 6.
