Summary Maulana Fazlur Rehman said if NATO supply is restored, it would not be allowed to be implemented.
Raza Rabbani said that government would take decision regarding restoration of NATO supply in accordance with the opinion of the parliament.While addressing joint session of the National Assembly chaired by Speaker Fahmida Mirza, JUI-F chairman Maulan Fazlur Rehman said that recommendations of National Security Committee, although, were not ideal, t was an important step towards foreign policy.He said that Pakistan has been following imported foreign policy for many years, adding that it was absolutely wrong to declare the country as frontline state in the war on terror.He said that some forces were trying to restore NATO supply by secret tactics. If government tries to implement the decision, it would have to face staunch opposition from nationalist parties, he said.He stressed that recommendations allowing foreign agencies to work in Pakistan were unacceptable. The people signed an agreement with the US regarding drone attacks should be brought to justice, he demanded.Raza Rabbani said that it is first time in the history of Pakistan that representatives of people were discussing foreign policy. Before this, it was ever being discussed by the civil and military establishment.Raza Rabbani assured that the government would not take any decision against the public will.
