Summary Munter says the military leadership would be contacted after PCNS recommendations.
Talking to media in Islamabad, US Ambassador to Pakistan Cameron Munter said that the US respects Pakistan’s sovereignty and it is waiting the proposals of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security regarding the enhancement of cooperation in security and energy sectors.He said the talks would be held after the recommendations of the parliamentary body are passed by the Parliament.Earlier, addressing the Entrepreneurship Conference, Cameron Munter said that the US cannot solve Pakistan’s problems and it should take steps to meet challenges while the US is ready to extend its cooperation.He said the US fully backs the business community in Pakistan to face the future challenges.In her video message for the conference, US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton said that the objective to hold this conference with the cooperation of the US is to encourage employers.
